Hannah Mary Taylor is a soprano specialising in oratorio, sacred music, and art song. She performs regularly with choirs and ensembles across the Midlands, including Coventry Cathedral Chorus, and has appeared as a soloist in works such as Handel’s Messiah (Soprano Solos) at Shirley Methodist Church, Birmingham (2024), Charles Wood’s St Mark Passion (Treble Solo) at Coventry Cathedral (2025), and in Coventry Carol (arr. Rose) and Lux Aeterna at Compton Verney (2024).

She currently studies with Sharyn Mensforth and has previously trained with Christin Wisemann in London. Her vocal work is grounded in a strong technical foundation and a commitment to expressive, text-led performance.

In 2024, Hannah collaborated with visual artist Gayle Chong Kwan on a commissioned performance ritual at Compton Verney, performing Purcell’s When I Am Laid in Earth in response to a new installation in the Chinese Collection. This interdisciplinary practice reflects her wider career as a performance artist and professional model, and her work in a senior role within the UK arts sector.

Hannah brings a strong sense of narrative, embodiment, and emotional depth to her performances, informed by her experience across music, visual art, and public engagement. She is particularly drawn to repertoire exploring themes of love, loss, and spiritual reflection, and is committed to creating performances that connect meaningfully with audiences.

She has also performed sacred repertoire at St Chad’s Catholic Cathedral, Birmingham, in collaboration with the cathedral organist.
